Shamali University (SU) was founded in 2026 by Ghulam Shafiq Rasuli “Shamal”, on the unwavering belief that higher education must be accessible, rigorous, and relevant to the global challenges of tomorrow. Operating fundamentally as a humanitarian organization, SU is dedicated to providing high-quality, entirely online and tuition-free education to all qualified students worldwide. This monumental effort is sustained by the commitment of our dedicated volunteer faculties and staff from different countries around the world, who believe deeply in the power of knowledge distribution. While our long-term vision encompasses the establishment of eight distinct faculties, but current infrastructural and resource limitations necessitate a focused activation of four faculties. Therefore, in this initial phase, Shamali University is able to activate four core faculties such as Computer Science, Modern Agriculture, Economics, Business Administration and Management, ensuring every student receives unparalleled dedication, cutting-edge curriculum content, and the foundational tools necessary for impactful global citizenship and professional leadership. Beside our long-term global goals, the decision of establishment of Shamali University is taken to highly pay attention for providing free accessible education for Afghan Girls, who have been denied access to School and university by the current government for more than four years. Shamali University is initially led by three main bodies such as Chief Executive office, Administrative board and Board of faculty members. Where each section is detailly explained below.

The main reason behind this voluntarily action is that, the Founder of Shamali University Ghulam  Shafiq Rasuli. S, himself is a war and disability victim. He states that “there are many people around the world who want to learn and be educated, but aren’t able. Hence, there should be someone to open the doors for those deprived individuals”.
